Shubman Gill reached Bhubaneswar before IND vs SA T20 series, BCCI gave green signal regarding fitness.

Shubman Gill arrived in Bhubaneswar: Indian Test and ODI team captain and T20 team vice-captain Shubman Gill has reached Bhubaneswar. Shubhman Gill reached Bhubaneswar at around 9 pm on Sunday. Shubman Gill is ready to return for the five-match T20 series against South Africa. Gill was out of the team after the first Test due to a neck injury. After which he was not even included in ODI. Now he is completely fit and ready to make a comeback.

Gill was included in the team on the basis of his fitness clicker for the five-match T20 series starting from December 9. After which, according to a report, Shubman Gill has also got fitness clearance from BCCI COE. Now he is completely fit and can be seen playing in this five-match T20 series. Shubhman Gill suffered a neck sprain in the first Test against South Africa. After which he was admitted to the hospital. After the first Test, Gill was dropped from the second Test. After that Gill did not get a place even in the three-match ODI series. During this time, Gill gained fitness after spending a few days at the BCCI Center of Excellence. Gill batted and fielded in the CoE before getting the certificate of full fitness from the BCCI medical team.

Gambhir also confirmed Gill’s fitness

Gill is completely fit and ready for the international match, this was confirmed by Gambhir himself. “Yes, Shubman is ready to play the match. That’s why he has been selected. He is fit, fine, and raring to play,” the India coach said after the third and final ODI in Visakhapatnam on Saturday night.

Meanwhile, most of the players have reached Bhubaneswar for the match. Several members of the India and South Africa teams arrived from Visakhapatnam on Sunday morning in a chartered flight. However, Gill came in later as he was not part of the ODI squad. Hardik Pandya spent some time practicing at Barabati Stadium. He was among the first players to reach the city.
