Indigo flights cancellation: The crisis surrounding IndiGo flights continued for the sixth consecutive day. Passengers are facing increasing difficulties as several IndiGo flights were canceled at the Delhi airport on Sunday, December 7. There were long queues at the Indira Gandhi International Airport. Passengers had to wait for hours as flights were cancelled. According to news agency ANI, the flight information screen at the Delhi airport displayed reports that several IndiGo flights had been cancelled.
On the other hand, more than 30 flights were canceled at Chennai airport as well. Many IndiGo passengers also faced flight cancellations and delays at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. Over 2000 IndiGo flights were canceled in the last five days. Due to which major centers like Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad were also seen affected.

800 flights canceled on Saturday
IndiGo issued a statement on Saturday, canceling more than 800 flights. More than 1,000 flights were canceled on Friday. The ever-increasing chaos in airlines’ networks has worsened the situation for passengers.
Central government curbs air tickets
During this crisis, the government issued an order to control air fares. According to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the maximum fare has been fixed at Rs 7,500 for flights up to 500 km, Rs 12,000 for flights between 500 and 1,000 km, Rs 15,000 for flights between 1,000 and 1,500 km and Rs 18,000 for flights above 1,500 km. These rules will not apply to Business Class and Udaan Yojana flights.
More than 800 flights were canceled on Saturday due to the IndiGo crisis that has been going on for the past five days. After that it continues today on the 6th day and also on the 6th day of Indigo. However, IndiGo claims to have normalized flights on 95% of its routes.

The airline said that flights are operational at 135 out of 138 destinations. It will take a long time to regain public trust.
Meanwhile, more than 350 IndiGo flights were canceled on Sunday as well. These include flights from Delhi, Chennai, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Bhopal, Mumbai and Trichy.
Earlier, the airline had canceled about 1,600 flights on Friday and about 800 on Saturday.
