Extortion of Rs 10 lakh demanded from JDU MP and MLA – Read
A big news has come out from Siwan district, where JDU MP Vijay Lakshmi Devi and Badharia MLA Indradev Singh Patel have been threatened with death by unknown miscreants demanding extortion of Rs 10 lakh. After this incident, the police administration has become fully alert and the investigation of the case is being carried forward rapidly.
Called MP Vijay Lakshmi Devi and demanded extortion
According to sources, JDU MP representative Manoranjan Kumar Srivastava has lodged an FIR in Mairwa police station. He told that on the night of December 3, at 10:38 pm and 10:40 pm, a call was received from an unknown youth on the MP’s personal mobile number, in which he demanded Rs 10 lakh from him. The scoundrel also threatened to kill him if he did not pay the extortion money. The MP representative has demanded from the police to increase the security of the MP and immediate arrest of the criminals.
Threat to MLA Indradev Singh Patel also
Meanwhile, the miscreants also called Badharia’s JDU MLA Indradev Singh Patel and demanded extortion of Rs 10 lakh. The MLA immediately informed the district SP about the matter and demanded action.
Police started investigation, mobile number sent for tracing
Police Station Head Sanjeet Kumar said that the mobile number used by the miscreants has been sent to the concerned department for investigation. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the police has started investigation and the FIR lodged has been sent to the court.
