Motorola Edge 70: Motorola’s thinnest military-grade smartphone to date is finally going to enter the Indian market. The company has officially announced the launch date of Motorola Edge 70. A dedicated microsite for the phone has also gone live on Flipkart, confirming its arrival in India soon. According to the teaser, this handset will come with an ultra-slim body of just 5.99 mm. The phone will be available in India in three premium Pantone-curated colors—Bronze Green, Gadget Grey, and Lily Pad.

Motorola posted on X that Motorola Edge 70 will be launched in India on December 15, 2025 at 12 noon. This smartphone will run on Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor. Talking about camera setup, the phone will have a 50-megapixel triple rear camera unit, which comes with LED flash. This device will be available for sale on Flipkart, Motorola India website and select offline retail stores.

The company has updated the official microsite of the phone, which has also confirmed many of its important features. Motorola Edge 70 will be provided with a 5000mAh silicon-carbon battery, which will support 68W wired and 15W wireless fast charging. It will also have a vapor chamber cooling system for better thermal management.

The phone will have a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, which will come with features like 1.5K resolution, 4500 nits peak brightness, Gorilla Glass 7i protection and Dolby Atmos support. Talking about software, the device will run on Android 16-based Hello UI. Motorola promises 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates for the Edge 70.

Camera capability is also a big feature of this phone. The company claims that the Edge 70 will be capable of 4K 60fps video recording. Its triple rear camera setup will include a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera with macro vision support. At the front, a 50-megapixel quad-pixel camera has been provided for selfie and video calling.

Motorola Edge 70 is also said to be very strong in terms of strength and durability. The phone comes with MIL-STD 810H military-grade certification. Apart from this, it also has IP68 + IP69 rating for dust and water protection, which makes it one of the most rugged and premium smartphones in this segment.
