Illegal truck cutting busted on Sonauli border, chaos among brokers and drivers

Sonauli, Maharajganj. The game of illegal cutting of trucks in India Nepal border area is old. The police administration has adopted a strict stance on the continuous complaints received. Last Sunday, Area Officer Nautanvan Ankur Gautam conducted a sudden raid in Sonauli truck parking. This action created panic among the brokers, drivers and parking stand operators involved in truck cutting. According to the information received, due to the queue of trucks about 6 kilometers long at the Sonauli border, some drivers were ignoring the rules and reaching the border directly through illegal routes. This was not only affecting law and order, but the drivers honestly waiting for their turn were also facing problems. The area officer got information about this illegal cutting through some medium, after which immediate action was taken.

During the raid, the drivers of five trucks parked in the Sonauli parking lot were called to the police station for questioning, while challans were issued for about half a dozen trucks. Apart from this, about a dozen drivers ignoring the rules were given a stern warning that strict legal action would be taken if found indulging in such activities in future.
