New Delhi. Navjot Kaur, wife of former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, has been suspended from Congress. Action has been taken against Navjot Kaur regarding her Rs 500 crore statement. Navjot had alleged that dealings worth crores are done for the CM seat in Punjab Congress. He had said that only the one who gives a suitcase filled with Rs 500 crore becomes the Chief Minister. Along with this, he had made serious allegations against former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Waring and opposition leader Pratap Singh Bajwa of selling tickets.

Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja has suspended Navjot Kaur from the primary membership of the party. Navjot Kaur had said about her husband that if Congress makes Navjot Singh Sidhu the chief ministerial face, then he can come back to active politics. Navjot Kaur had also said that no one in her family has money to give to the party. After these allegations of Navjot Kaur, Congress became very uneasy and turmoil started in Punjab Congress. Navjot Kaur had also met Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria on Saturday.

Navjot Kaur had also alleged that a total amount of up to Rs 11 crore was given to Congress candidate Karanbir Singh Burj to get a ticket in the by-election held in Tarn Taran Assembly. This work was done with the knowledge of senior leaders of Punjab Congress. Navjot also claimed that many councilors are ready to give statements in this regard and he also said that he has the call recording related to this.
