UP Weather Update: Cold wave intensifies in many districts of UP including Prayagraj, temperature continuously falls.

Lucknow, 8 December. In the beginning of December, cold winds have increased the cold. Many districts of Uttar Pradesh were hit by cold wave, due to which a drop in temperature was seen. Especially in eastern and central Uttar Pradesh, the harshness of winter has started being seen. People are trying to protect themselves from the cold through warm clothes and fire. The cold wave has hit Prayagraj also.

Talking to a news agency, local people said that the cold wave from the mountains has increased the cold here. Earlier we used to go for a walk but due to increasing cold we did not go for a walk. One person said that the cold has increased in the last two-three days, due to which very few people are able to go out of the house in the morning. This cold is going to increase further in the coming days, hence it is necessary to take protection.

According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature in Prayagraj was 13.4 degrees Celsius till 9.30 am on Monday. Cold winds were blowing at about two kilometers per hour. Apart from Prayagraj, the temperature was recorded at 12.2 degrees Celsius in Bahraich, 16 degrees Celsius in Lucknow, 14.4 degrees Celsius in Gorakhpur, 14 degrees Celsius in Bareilly and 14.6 degrees Celsius in Jhansi.

There is a possibility of further drop in temperature in the coming days. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in Eastern Uttar Pradesh division is likely to remain dry and there is a possibility of light to moderate fog at isolated places in the morning. The Meteorological Department has predicted similar weather for the next three days.

During the last 24 hours, the weather remained dry in both the meteorological divisions of Uttar Pradesh. Light fog was seen at some places in both the weather divisions of Uttar Pradesh. According to the data received, minimum visibility of 600 meters was recorded at many places in the state. The lowest minimum temperature in the state on Saturday was 5.5 degrees Celsius recorded in Ayodhya. However, the highest temperature in the state was 27.6 degrees Celsius in Kanpur.
