Asaduddin Owaisi’s ancestors were Hindus… Former BJP MP Brij Bhushan Singh’s big claim – was born in a Brahmin family
Uttar Pradesh: Former MP from Kaiserganj, UP, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on Monday gave a controversial statement regarding AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi. Singh, who reached a private event, said that “Owaisi’s ancestors were Hindu and he was born in a Brahmin family.” His statement is becoming increasingly viral on social media, although Janbhavana Times has not confirmed this viral video. This comment has become a topic of great discussion in political circles.
Congress cornered on Vande Mataram controversy
Brij Bhushan Singh directly attacked Congress for opposing Vande Mataram. He said that Congress creates such controversies to divert attention from the core issues of the country. Singh claimed that the freedom struggle was fought on the basis of “Vande Mataram” and not only Hindus but also a large number of Muslims were involved in this movement. He said that apart from Jinnah, no Muslim had any problem with Vande Mataram. According to Singh, about 80 percent of Muslims living in India are converts and they have no problem with this song.
If Vande Mataram is not sung in India, where will it be sung?
On the questions raised regarding Vande Mataram, Singh replied bluntly, “If Vande Mataram is not sung in India, will it be sung in Pakistan?” He said that the protesting people deliberately instigate religious sentiments, whereas this song strengthens the feeling of patriotism.
Responded to the construction of Kalki Dham
The former MP also reacted regarding Kalki Dham. He told that he himself has visited the Dham and it is taking a very grand form. After the foundation stone laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Acharya Pramod Krishnam is overseeing its construction work. Singh said that the incarnation of Lord Kalki at the end of Kaliyuga is mentioned in the scriptures and anyone who wants to believe it should do so; There is no pressure on those who do not agree. According to him, the construction of Kalki Dham is a matter of religious faith and it should not be politicized.
Heat increased in political atmosphere
The statements of the former MP have created a fresh stir in the politics of the state. While Owaisi supporters are protesting calling it baseless, BJP supporters are calling it a fact of history. The rhetoric on issues like Vande Mataram and religious places has further intensified the political debate for 2024–25.
