Gujarat Police in action, cyber fraud of Rs 719 crore busted, 10 accused arrested

Gujarat Police (Gujarat Cyber ​​Crime Cell) has taken major action on Monday. A big cyber crime gang has been exposed. 10 accused have been arrested in this case. They are accused of cheating people in the name of fake investment schemes, UPI, part time jobs etc. A bank employee has also been found accused in this racket of Rs 719 crore. This information was given by Gandhinagar State Cyber ​​Cell Gandhinagar SP Rajdeep Singh Jala on Monday.

SP Rajdeep Singh Jala said that the cyber crime cell team conducted an operation on a special account in Bhavnagar. In which 10 people of the same gang were arrested. A bank employee is also involved in this fraud. This gang scammed people in many states and union territories including Gujarat, Maharashtra. The leader of the gang is Divya Raj Singh Jala, who guides criminals to meetings in Dubai.

Transactions were being done from the same bank

According to Rajdeep Singh Jala, 100 Mule accounts were opened in the branch of IndusInd Bank located in Bhavnagar. All cash and check withdrawals were taking place in this bank. Which was investigated. It was revealed that in exchange of cash and cryptocurrency, fraud money was sent to cyber criminals based in Dubai and China.

Till now this gang was involved in 1594 cyber frauds in 26 states and 6 union territories. In which 300 cases were seen in Maharashtra, 194 in Karnataka, 128 in Telangana, 60 in West Bengal, 74 in Delhi, 88 in Uttar Pradesh, 203 in Tamil Nadu and 42 in Rajasthan. More than 30 crypto wallets and 14 mobile phones were also seized during the raid.

The case was registered 10 days ago

A case was registered at Gujarat Cyber ​​Center of Excellence 10 days ago. In which the cyber criminal had stolen Rs 26 crore from the victim on the pretext of investing in the stock market. Initially he benefited from a deposit of $500. The accused allegedly bribed the agent to trick the victim into making further investments. After investigation of this case, 7 people were arrested. Gujarat Cyber ​​Center of Excellence was successful in saving Rs 4 crore from the victim.
