The weather patterns of the country are changing rapidly. While there is a possibility of snowfall in the mountains, cold winds have started giving shivers in the plains. So let us know what the weather is going to be like in your city and state.
Snowfall on the mountains, mercury will fall in the plains
According to the Meteorological Department, light rain and snowfall may be seen in the western Himalayan regions, especially Kashmir, from December 13. This will have a direct impact on the plains. In the next 3 days, the temperature of North-West India (Punjab, Haryana, Delhi) may drop by up to 2 degrees Celsius, which will increase the cold. However, after this there is also a possibility of a slight increase in temperature.
Cold wave will return in Jharkhand
The effect of western disturbance will be seen in Jharkhand for the next two-three days. The minimum temperature of the state is likely to drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius. Cold winds can once again create cold wave-like conditions.
Rajasthan: Nights are cold, but relief during the day
Winter has increased in Rajasthan, but the day temperature is still slightly higher than normal. The night temperature will drop further in the coming days. The Meteorological Department says that a weak western disturbance will be active from December 12, which may cause light clouds in the sky, but overall the weather will remain dry.
Severe cold continues in Kashmir
The mercury has dropped below zero in the Kashmir Valley, causing severe cold. The Meteorological Department has predicted the weather to remain dry till December 12. But, from December 13, there may be light snowfall or rain in the higher areas of the valley.
‘Cold wave’ will prevail in these states
The Meteorological Department has issued a cold wave warning for some states:
- 10 to 12 December: Cold wave may prevail in Punjab, Western Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Central Maharashtra, North Karnataka and Telangana.
