19 proposals approved in the second cabinet meeting

Bihar News: After the formation of the new government in Bihar, many important decisions were taken in the second cabinet meeting chaired by CM Nitish Kumar. A total of 19 proposals were approved in the meeting, which included the formation of three new departments and change in the names of three departments. New departments created to promote employment

The government has approved the formation of three new departments focusing on increasing employment opportunities for the youth.

First department- Youth, Employment and Skill Development Department – has been created, which as per the name will handle the work related to skill development and employment of youth.

Second department- Department of Higher Education – Created with the aim of improving the level and quality of higher education in the state. Through this, quality education will be ensured in universities and colleges.

Third department- Civil Aviation Department – has been formed to enhance the prospects of the aviation sector in the state. This department will work on expanding air connectivity and aviation infrastructure in Bihar.

Change in names of three departments

The cabinet has also approved changing the names of three departments while improving the structure.

The name of Animal and Fisheries Resources Department has now been changed to Dairy, Fisheries and Animal Resources Department, so that equal attention can be given to the dairy sector.

Labor Resources Department will now be known as Labor Resources and Migrant Workers Welfare Department. This will help in operating the schemes related to migrant workers in an integrated manner.

‘Youth’ has been separated from the Department of Art, Culture and Youth. Now its name will be Department of Art and Culture.

Government’s objective and policy clear

The government says that these steps have been taken to fulfill the promise of providing employment to the youth during the assembly elections and to increase the speed of administrative work. Formation of new departments will speed up the work, while changing the names of departments will bring clarity in their responsibilities. This will balance the workload of officers and departments will be able to work within their scope with more expertise.
