Indian squad announced against Sri Lanka : BCCI has announced the Indian Women’s squad for the five-match T20I series against Sri Lanka. Harmanpreet Kaur Will lead the team. Fifteen member players have been selected under the leadership of Kaur. Shefali Verma, who performed brilliantly in the ODIs, has returned to the T20 squad, while Amanjot Kaur has also been included in the squad. The selectors have also shown faith in Vaishnavi Sharma and Sri Charani.

The Indian women’s cricket team for the Sri Lanka tour has been announced. A five-match T20 series against Sri Lanka will be played. The Indian Women’s Cricket Team has been announced for this series. In this series, Harmanpreet Kaur will be seen leading Team India while Smriti Mandhana will be the vice-captain. Although her personal life has undergone major changes recently, Mandhana will provide a strong leadership to the team when she returns to the Maidanar.

The return of these players

The biggest news in the Indian team is that Shefali Verma is making a comeback to the T20 team after six months. Shefali played her last T20I match against England on 12 July 2025. Amanjot Kaur, who impressed with her performance in the ODI World Cup, has also been included in the T20 squad. Debutants include 19-year-old spinner Vaishnavi Sharma and G. Kamlani will be part of the T20 team for the first time.

What will be the T20 series schedule?

The five-match T20I series between India and Sri Lanka will begin from December 21. The first match will be played at Visakhapatnam. The second match will be played at the same venue on 23rd December. Also, the third T20 match will be played on December 26 and the fourth match on December 28 at Thiruvananthapuram. The fifth and final match will be played on December 30.
