South Africa’s shameful defeat… all out on the lowest score in T20 cricket history.

New Delhi. The most shameful day in the history of T20 International cricket was for South Africa on Tuesday 9th December, where the team captained by Aiden Markram was all out on the lowest score in its history against Team India at the Cuttack ground. For the first time, the South African team could not even cross the 80 mark in a T20 International match. India bowled out South Africa for 74 runs and won the first T20 International match by 101 runs. Not only this, India has given a big wound to South Africa for the third time.

In fact, for the third time, the South African team has been all out against India on a score of less than 100 in T20 International cricket. Twice Australia has also restricted South Africa to within 100 runs. However, the score of 74 runs in Cuttack is South Africa’s lowest score in T20 International cricket. Earlier in 2022, South African team was bundled out for 87 runs in Rajkot. In 2020, South Africa scored 89 runs against Australia. Whereas, 95 runs were scored by South Africa against India in Johannesburg. In Cape Town in 2020, the South African team has been defeated against Australia.

Talking about the match played at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, India batted first and scored 175 runs losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. Hardik Pandya scored 59 runs in 28 balls, while Akshar Patel scored 23 runs in 21 balls and Tilak Verma scored 26 runs in 32 balls. Shivam Dubey scored 11 runs in 9 balls and Jitesh Sharma scored 10 runs in 5 balls. Abhishek Sharma played an inning of 17 runs in 12 balls. Lungi Ngidi took 3 wickets for South Africa, while Simpala got 2 wickets. Donavan Ferreira got one wicket. At the same time, when the South African team came out to bat, it was all out for 74 runs in 12.3 overs. Dewald Brewis scored 22 runs in 14 balls, while 14 runs each came from the bats of Aiden Markram and Tristan Stubbs. Marco Yansen scored 12 runs. Apart from these, no batsman could cross the double figures.
