Step mother killed her son after watching a TV serial, tied a stone to his body and threw it in a tank, now life imprisonment!

Ghaziabad. Such a horrifying incident came to light in Modinagar of Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh, which shook everyone. In the year 2023, stepmother Rekha and her friend Poonam together murdered 11 year old innocent Shabd (aka Saddi). Both of them made this plan after watching a TV serial and tied the dead body with a stone and threw it in the safety tank of the house. Now the court has sentenced both of them to life imprisonment.

The story started after marriage

The matter is of Double Story Colony of Govindpuri. Rahul was married to Rekha of Baghpat. This was the second marriage of both of them. Rekha had a one and a half year old daughter Pari from her first marriage, while Rahul had an 11 year old son Shabd from his first wife. After marriage, both of them stayed in Noida for the first few days, but later settled in Govindpuram.

One day suddenly Shabda went missing from home. Rahul immediately lodged a complaint in the police station. Police started investigation. Nearby CCTV footage was scrutinized. In every camera the word was seen going inside the house, but was not seen coming out anywhere. The police became suspicious and started searching the house.

Dead body found in safety tank

During the search, the police noticed that a slab of the septic tank was broken and a wooden plank was placed on it. When the suspicion deepened, the police searched the tank with sticks. A dead body was found inside. When the body was taken out, it was revealed that it was that of Shabda. A stone was tied to his right leg and there were deep injury marks on his neck.

Rekha confessed to the crime

The police interrogated Rekha strictly. At first she kept changing her statement again and again, but eventually she confessed to her crime. She told that she made this plan after watching a TV serial and took the help of her friend Poonam. Now the court has sentenced both Rekha and Poonam to life imprisonment.
