Shah Rukh Khan’s much-awaited Met Gala debut not only took the internet by storm, but also landed him a spot on the New York Times’ Style section’s 67 Most Stylish People of 2025 list. The New York Times described King Khan’s impact, saying, “Known to his fans as ‘Shah Rukh,’ Bollywood’s biggest star and one of the world’s most popular actors, made his first appearance at the Met Gala as a guest, and also earned a name on the celebrity list.”

Appreciation for Shah Rukh Khan’s Met Gala Debut
Sabyasachi Mukherjee designed a masterpiece for the 2025 theme “Tailored for You”. Shah Rukh Khan wore a black dress made from fine wool by Sabyasachi Mukherjee, the actor dazzled on the Met carpet with a matching coat. The black dress featured monogrammed Japanese horn buttons, peak lapels, broad shoulders and a single-breasted finish reflecting Mughal court jackets. King Khan’s look was universally appreciated. And everyone’s attention turned to him.

The caption on the official handle of Sabyasachi, India’s most luxurious fashion brand, reads, “This coat is hand-woven, single-breasted, with a peak collar and wide lapels. It is paired with a crepe de chine silk shirt and tailored superfine wool trousers. A pleated satin waistband completes the look. It features custom stacks and an 18-carat gold Bengal tiger head cane on top. Encrusted with tourmaline, sapphire, old mine-cut and brilliant-cut diamonds.”

Talking about Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming films, the actor is currently busy shooting for ‘King’. He will be seen sharing the screen with his daughter Suhana Khan in the film. Deepika Padukone and Abhishek Bachchan also play important roles in the film. The film will be released in theaters soon.
