Without enthusiasm, we will not be able to move forward… Sachin Tendulkar gave ‘Guru Mantra’ to young players.

Mumbai Former great batsman Sachin Tendulkar, known as the God of Cricket, has given Gurumantra to the young players to be successful. Sachin Tendulkar said in Mumbai on Tuesday that young players cannot progress without passion and enthusiasm. He advised young players to ‘face difficult challenges’ and set an example for others. Recalling his early days, Tendulkar said that he was so fond of cricket that he was ready to make every possible effort to progress in this game. He said that he practiced for 12 hours a day for about two months during the summer holidays.

Tendulkar said before the auction of the third season of the ‘Indian Street Premier League (ISPL)’, “I started playing cricket because I had passion. I loved this game very much and I just wanted to play for India. I was ready to make every possible effort for this.” He further said, “There were many stages in my life. There was school cricket involved and I was ready to work hard. There was a time when I practiced 12 hours a day for 55 consecutive days during my summer vacations and eventually I fell ill. If there is no passion and enthusiasm, you will not be able to move forward.”

Tendulkar said that many things need to come together for a player to develop, but it is also important to perform well at the right time. He admitted, “You need hard work, planning, ability to implement it, right guidance and discipline to move ahead. A lot of things come together and then when you get an opportunity, you have to go out on the field and perform and that’s how you reach the next level.”

The Master Blaster said that expectations are higher from players who have set examples in the past. However, this should not bother anyone. Sachin Tendulkar’s records testify that he stuck to his basics till the last stage of his career. Be it practice or being with the team.
