He termed the attitude of the organizers as completely irresponsible. He said that announcing my name without my consent is completely wrong. No information was given to him regarding the context in which the award was being given or who its organizers were, hence no question of participating in this program or accepting the award arises. This clarification by Tharoor put an end to all the speculations that were going on since the morning.
