According to CTI Chairman Brijesh Goyal, due to the incident at Indigo Airlines, Delhi’s trade, tourism and other sectors have suffered a loss of business worth Rs 1000 crore. Not only this, due to Indigo crisis, footfall in Delhi has fallen by 25 percent in the last 10 days. Due to this, thousands of bookings of hotels, restaurants, banquets and resorts present here have also been cancelled. He said that overall, due to this problem of Indigo flight cancellation, many industries of Delhi have suffered huge losses.

More than 4500 flights canceled so far

Since the beginning of the IndiGo crisis, more than 4500 flights have been canceled and this number of cancellations is increasing. According to CTI Chairman Brijesh Goyal, more than 1.5 lakh people travel through Delhi Airport every day, out of which about 50,000 are traders and businessmen, but in the last few days there has been a huge decline in the number of businessmen traveling. Very few people from outside are coming to the markets of Delhi, which is directly impacting the business here.

Delhi suffered a loss of Rs 1000 crore

Manoj Khandelwal, director of Delhi-based Manoj Travels, said that this is the season of tourism in Delhi, which lasts till mid-January but indigo crisis Due to this, it is also affecting the bookings made for Christmas and New Year. According to Brijesh Goyal, the loss to Delhi’s business is estimated to be Rs 1000 crore.
