Authorities in Hanoi have seized nearly 6,500 clothing items with Nike, Adidas and Puma labels suspected to be fake from a shop on Hoang Cong Chat Street.

City police and market surveillance officers carried out a raid on the establishment on Monday evening to find 5,200 sportswear sets with the Nike logo and 1,200 with Adidas labels and 14 Puma-branded jerseys.

The shop owner, Duong Tan Rine, failed to produce any invoices or documents proving their origin, they said.

The printing, embroidery and packaging were different from those in genuine products, they noted. The goods were meant to be sold mostly through e-commerce platforms.

The shop was found to be unregistered and the owner confirmed it had not registered since opening in mid-2025. It also did not display its prices as required by the law.

All suspected fake products have been sealed and taken to the warehouse of the Domestic Market Surveillance and Development Agency. An investigation is ongoing.
