Hundreds of families will be displaced by the new route

The MP said that due to the new proposed route, hundreds of tribal families will have to leave their fertile agricultural lands. Their livelihood is completely dependent on farming, in such a situation, due to snatching of land, many families will become unemployed and without livelihood forever. The affected families clearly told the MP that they have already given their land for the construction of the road, now they cannot give land on the new route.

Project cost also doubled, huge loss to the government

The MP told the minister that in the old proposal the cost of the project was Rs 700 crore, while under the new route it has increased to Rs 1200 crore. The length of the old route was 12 kilometers, which will increase to 34 kilometers when the new route is built. In such a situation, the government will have to suffer huge financial loss.
