Abhishek Sharma Becomes 2nd Indian Cricketer After Suryakumar Yadav: Abhishek Sharma achieved a big achievement in the second match of the five-match T20 series being played between India and South Africa. Abhishek Sharma also created history by joining the list of people who hit 50 sixes in T20 International cricket in a calendar year. He has become the second Indian cricketer to hit more than 50 sixes in a year.

Scored 17 runs on 8 balls while chasing a big target of 214 runs in the second T20I against South Africa. During this he hit 2 sixes. With the second six, Abhishek Sharma completed his 50th six in T20 International cricket of the year 2025. Before Abhishek Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav had achieved this feat for the Indian team in the year 2022. In the year 2022, Suryakumar Yadav hit 68 sixes in 31 matches in T20 International.

Only two players have achieved this feat for the ICC full member team. Both the players are from India only. For India, Suryakumar Yadav achieved this feat by completing 68 sixes in the year 2022 and now Abhishek Sharma achieved this feat by completing 50 sixes in the year 2025.
