Patna: Taking major action against corruption in Bihar, the team of Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) has taken major action. On Friday, the EOU team raided the house of Bhavesh Kumar Singh, Development Officer of Patliputra Central Co-operative Bank in Patna and Gopalganj. Investigation has confirmed that they have 60.68 percent disproportionate assets, after which a case was registered in the Economic Offenses Police Station and a search order was taken from the court.

According to the information, searches are going on at six locations including Bhavesh Kumar Singh’s residence in Patna and Gopalganj, ancestral house, petrol pump and rice mill. The first raid was conducted in a rented flat in Ramjaipal Nagar, Patna, where the EOU team was scanning documents, bank records and digital data.

The six locations where raids have been conducted include, apart from Ramjaypal Nagar in Patna, Gas Godown Street near Krishna Niketan School in Zakariapur Mohalla, ancestral house of Gopalganj district, Bhavana Petroleum Vishambharpur, Jai Mata Di Rice Mill and Patliputra Central Co-operative Bank located on SP Verma Road. All these locations have been targeted.

EOU team is going through all the documents
According to the information, the EOU team is examining all the documents at all the 6 locations. Documents are also being collected from petrol pumps, rice mills and bank offices. But, detailed information about what is recovered during the raid will be released by EOU later. There was a stir in the office due to this raid by EOU.
