‘Dhurandhar’ earnings: crossed 200 crore mark in a week

Directed by Aditya Dhar, ‘Dhurandhar’ has gained tremendous momentum by performing well at the box office in the very first week. Ranveer Singh’s spy-thriller is earning beyond expectations not only in India but also overseas. According to the film team, ‘Dhurandhar’ has registered a collection of approximately ₹218 crore nett in India in the first seven days, making it one of the big hits of 2025.

The final day of the first week was as strong as the opening day. This shows the power of the film’s positive word-of-mouth. After Friday’s (December 5) net opening of ₹28.60 crore, there was a rise on Saturday and the collection reached ₹44.80 crore on Sunday. The pace of the film did not slow down even on weekdays. ‘Dhurandhar’ maintained a strong hold every day from Monday to Thursday. Its net collection on Thursday was ₹29.40 crore, which was more than the opening day.

The official seven-day box office breakup released by the film’s team was as follows: Friday ₹28.60 crore, Saturday ₹33.10 crore, Sunday ₹44.80 crore, Monday ₹24.30 crore, Tuesday ₹28.60 crore, Wednesday ₹29.20 crore and Thursday ₹29.40 crore; Overall the first week closed at ₹218 crore nett.

‘Dhurandhar’ continues to dominate the overseas markets also. The film continues to have a strong hold in America, Britain, Canada, UAE and Australia. According to reports, the film’s first week worldwide collection has crossed ₹300 crore. Usually, this kind of trend is seen only with films released during festivals, but ‘Dhurandhar’ has broken this mold by doing so.

The film presents the complex nexus of gang-war, politics and terrorism within Pakistan in the form of a spy thriller. Its casting, screenplay, dialogues, music and performances have received widespread appreciation. Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Saumya Tandon and other actors have played their characters powerfully.

Considering the fast pace and steady collection, it is expected that the second weekend will prove to be even bigger than the first weekend. The film is consistently earning double digits and looking at the current trend, it is almost certain to join the ₹500 crore nett club.
