Team India registered a big win by 234 runs in the very first match against UAE. In this match, 14 year old star batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a brilliant century for India and played a blazing innings of 171 runs. Thanks to Vaibhav’s innings, India batted first and scored a huge score of 433 runs for 6 wickets. In reply, UAE team could score only 199 runs for 7 wickets even after playing full 50 overs.

In this match, UAE won the toss and decided to bowl first. At the same time, the Indian team, which came to bat first, did not have a good start and captain Ayush Mhatre returned to the pavilion after scoring only 4 runs. However, after this, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi along with Aaron George took charge of the innings and made the condition of UAE team thin by batting brilliantly. Vaibhav played a stormy inning of 171 runs in 95 balls, in which he hit 9 fours and 14 fours.

However, he missed scoring a double century and was out on the ball of Uddish Suri. At the same time, George was out after scoring 69 runs on 73 balls. Apart from these, Vihaan Malhotra contributed 69 runs, Vedant Trivedi contributed 38 runs and Abhigyan Kundu contributed 32 runs. Due to these brilliant innings, India scored a huge score of 433 runs for 6 wickets in 50 overs. This is the biggest score so far in the history of Under-19 Asia Cup.

Uddish Suri’s innings went in vain

The UAE team, which came to chase the huge target of 434 runs, also did not have a good start and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Apart from Uddish Suri and Prithvi Madhu, no batsman from UAE could do anything. Both Suri and Madhu played half-century innings. Madhu scored 50 runs while Suri scored the highest unbeaten 78 runs.

UAE team could score only 199 runs for 7 wickets even after playing full 50 overs and lost the match by a huge margin of 234 runs. At the same time, Deepesh Devendran took maximum 2 wickets for India, while Kishan Kumar Singh, Henil Patel, Khilan Patel and Vihal Malhotra got one wicket each.
