Akhanda 2 ticket price hike controversy

Hyderabad: Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said ‘Akhanda 2’ movie ticket prices were hiked without his knowledge.
” I was occupied with Global Summit and local body elections, and an order to hike the movie price tickets was issued without my knowledge. It was done by mistake as the State government already decided not to hike movie ticket prices as per the court ruling,” he said.
Speaking to a vernacular news channel, the Minister said as per the Court ruling, movie ticket prices would not be hiked and benefit shows would not be permitted. According to Reddy, middle-class and lower middle-class people were watching movies and how can ticket prices be raised.
Questioning why actors were being paid such huge crores of money, the Minister said the film industry should not approach him seeking hike in the movie ticket prices.
