Bihar: 13–15 December in Patna – Grand opening of All India Civil Services Sports Meet 2025–26 with national enthusiasm – Keeping an eye on every movement of the media world.
Bihar News: Bihar has the proud opportunity of hosting the All India Civil Services Sports Meet 2025–2026 from 13 to 15 December 2025. This three-day national sports event will be held at Patliputra Sports Complex in Kankarbagh, Patna, where civil servants from across the country will showcase their athletic ability, dedication and sportsmanship. This year a total of 1,084 participants—702 male athletes, 328 female athletes and 54 officials—will take part in the competition, making it one of the most important civil services sports competitions in the country. The participation of states like Haryana, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Karnataka further raises the prestige and competitive level of the event.

The competition comprises prestigious athletics events like Race, Shot Put, High Jump, Discus Throw, Pole Vault, Javelin Throw, Relay and Hammer Throw, which will provide an opportunity to the participants to excel. Competitions are also being organized specifically for veteran athletes in the age group of 40 to 60 years, making the event a confluence of youthful enthusiasm and experienced energy. The Patliputra Sports Complex, with its modern facilities—synthetic track, high-end throwing area, gymnasium and organized training environment—is all set to make this national competition a successful and memorable one. Bihar has made significant progress in the field of athletics in recent years. The continuous efforts of the State Government to strengthen the sports infrastructure, activate district level sports academies, promote talent identification campaigns and provide incentives to the players have given a new direction to the sports culture of the State. Young athletes from Bihar are now making their presence felt at the national level, making the state a rising force on the sporting map. Such national events encourage the talent of the state and also play an important role in expanding sports tourism and training facilities.

The steering committee of this event is headed by Pranav Kumar, Organizing Secretary, Art, Culture and Youth Department, Bihar, while Mr. Shirshat Kapil Ashok, Managing Director, Bihar State Road Development Corporation Limited, as Secretary-cum-Nodal Officer (Athletics), is coordinating all the arrangements of the event. Under his guidance, all preparations have been completed with professional excellence, so that the participants can experience a safe, transparent and world-class competition.
