In view of the extensive preparations for Magh Mela-2026, today General Manager/North Central Railway, Naresh Pal Singh along with senior officials inspected the stations of Jhunsi, Prayagraj Rambagh and Prayag Junction stations. During the inspection, Principal Chief Operating Manager, North Central Railway, S.S. Chandrayan; Principal Chief Commercial Manager, Brijendra Kumar; Additional Divisional Railway Manager/Infra of Prayagraj Division, Naveen Prakash; Additional Divisional Railway Manager/General/Deepak Kumar and officials of Lucknow Division and Varanasi Division were present.

During the inspection, preparations and detailed action plan for smooth movement of devotees during Magh Mela-2026 period were discussed. Special attention was paid to strengthening ‘guidance signage’ at key locations to strengthen crowd management, security arrangements and guidance on platforms and circulating areas. Along with this, there was also a detailed discussion on adequate publicity, dissemination of information and installation of signage at appropriate places to provide proper guidance to the devotees traveling in Lucknow, Ayodhya and Varanasi directions during Magh Mela.

During the inspection at Prayag Junction, the General Manager/North Central Railway conducted a detailed inspection of the Power Cabin and Integrated Control Center of Prayag Junction. During the inspection, the General Manager/North Central Railway observed the functioning of the Power Cabin and Integrated Control Center at various points. Coordination between the railway administration and the fair administration is done from the Integrated Control Centre. The integrated control center provides continuous live broadcast from stations in the Sangam area and the city. From here, the crowd at the passenger shelter, platform and foot over bridge is monitored and necessary information and instructions are issued through the passenger announcement system.
