New Delhi. The results of local body elections in Kerala have been quite shocking. BJP has won a landslide victory in the capital Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation. This victory of BJP is historic because the Left Democratic Front (LDF) has been ruling here for the last four decades. In the 100-member Municipal Corporation of Thiruvananthapuram, BJP has won 50 seats, LDF 29, UDF 19 seats. Independent candidates have emerged victorious in two wards. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed gratitude to the people of Thiruvananthapuram on this massive victory of BJP. Also praised the BJP workers who worked hard day and night in the elections.

Our party will work towards the development of this vibrant city and improving the standard of living for the people. Along with this, the PM expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all those people of Kerala who voted for BJP and NDA candidates in the local body elections of the state.
