Divyendu said that he wants to move a little further from the image of the “boy next door” i.e. a simple boy. He said that he did not want to remain stuck in such an image and wanted to do something new and different. He said, “I was tired of that image. I wanted to do something that would challenge me as an actor.” The character of Munna Bhaiya in Mirzapur brought him a lot of recognition, but Divyendu now wants to play different types of roles. He wants such roles in which he gets a chance to show his acting range. Talking about his career, Divyendu said that as an actor one should always try to do something new and play different types of characters. He also said that getting typecast is a common thing in Bollywood, but it is important to keep trying to get out of it.
