Monsoon Alert – Heavy rainfall forecast in 7 states for 40 hours, thunderstorms expected

Monsoon Alert – The weather is changing rapidly, leading to snowfall in some areas and dense fog in most districts. The thick fog is causing difficulties for drivers. Trains are also running late. Western Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand remained cloudy yesterday, but there was no rain.

Cloudy conditions are expected in these areas on Sunday as well. Late-night rain in some parts of South India made the weather pleasant. Most parts of the Northeast are experiencing severe cold with snowfall. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued warnings of heavy rain in several states and snowfall in others. Bad Weather Expected for 40 Hours, Heavy Rain Likely

According to the Meteorological Department, the next few hours will not be easy for many areas. Cloudy conditions are expected in Haryana, Punjab, Delhi NCR, and Rajasthan for 40 hours. Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand may also remain cloudy, but rain is not expected.

In the upper states of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu and Kashmir, cloudy conditions are expected due to a Western Disturbance. Snowfall and rain are likely in these areas.

Due to the mild influence of the Northeast monsoon, heavy rainfall is expected in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands over the next two days. Besides this, some districts of Tamil Nadu may experience thunderstorms and rain. Rain is also expected in some parts of Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and South Karnataka.

Increased cold in Delhi

According to the IMD, the cold is intensifying in Delhi-NCR. The IMD predicts that dense fog will reduce visibility in Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, and other parts of Delhi-NCR. A drop in maximum and minimum temperatures is expected in the coming days.

On December 14, the minimum temperature is expected to be between 10 and 11 degrees Celsius, and the maximum temperature is expected to be 24 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature is expected to drop to 9 degrees Celsius on December 15th. Light, cold winds are expected during the day in Bihar. Temperatures are also expected to fall in almost all parts of North India.
