Nine days after the marriage, the bride escaped after dodging her husband and in-laws, took with her jewelery worth lakhs.

Patna. A shocking case has come to light from Munger. Here, just nine days after marriage, a newlywed woman suddenly disappeared from home. The in-laws kept searching around for the newlyweds for several hours, but could not find anything. The in-laws informed this to the maternal side of the newlywed, after which the police registered a case in Tarapur police station and started investigation. The newly married woman was seen going with a young man in the CCTV camera. The newlywed has also taken with herself jewelery worth lakhs.

Santosh Kumar Jha, resident of Manikpur village, Munger district of Bihar, married his daughter Sneha Kumari to Jitendra Jha, resident of Saadi village, on December 1, 2025. On December 2, Sneha left and came to her in-laws’ house. Initially Sneha behaved well with everyone, but on the evening of December 10, Sneha suddenly disappeared from home. Before leaving the house, she had asked her in-laws to go to the washroom. When she did not return for several hours, her in-laws informed her husband Jitendra. As soon as her husband reached home, a search was started for Sneha, but her whereabouts were not found. Sneha was searched the whole night, but nothing was found. In the morning, the in-laws informed Sneha’s family about the incident. While giving a complaint to the police, Sneha’s mother Soni Devi said that Kundan Yadav, a resident of Dhanbad, Jharkhand, had lured her daughter away. The mother also told that Kundan used to come to their house earlier also. During that time he told his name as Aditya. Kundan always used to come home during Chhath and because of that the daughter had to leave her studies also.

Tarapur police station in-charge Rajkumar said that a case has been registered against Kundan Yadav. CCTV cameras have been examined, in which Sneha is seen going with Kundan. During this time he wore jeans and T-shirt. A police team has been deployed in search of the newlywed and the young man. Raids are being conducted at possible locations.
