The amount of financial fraud of vehicle owners and drivers increased
Pune: In the wake of increasing financial fraud of vehicle owners and drivers in the state, the Transport Department (RTO) fake websites, dubious mobile apps (APKs) and fake e-challans (Crime) is urged to be alert from the link. It has been said by the Transport Department that many citizens are being cheated of their personal information and financial transactions in the name of services like driving license, vehicle registration, e-challan.
Don’t download unknown APK files
If you download unknown APK files like RTO Services.apk, mParivahan_Update.apk, eChallan Pay.apk, there is a risk of stealing OTP, banking information and other sensitive information from the mobile. Only official government websites of this gov.in domain should be used. It has been appealed. Similarly, vehicle owners should not register information on websites with .com, .online, .site, .in or any other domain.

Dues due through fraudulent mobile SMS or WhatsApp messages will result in license suspension. Such messages are never sent by RTO office with payment link from WhatsApp. Attempts are being made to extort money by sending unauthorized payment links with such threatening messages. So citizens should beware of such unauthorized websites.

In ‘RTO’ action mode to prevent accidents
Pune Regional Transport Office (RTO) has specially focused on the Pune-Satara highway in the wake of increasing accidents in Navale Bridge area and has deployed two Bharari teams near Khed Shivapur toll booth. From Saturday (22nd), the drivers of heavy vehicles will be subjected to 24-hour physical examination. This includes eye test, alcohol test as well as vehicle technical inspection. Recently, the RTO officials inspected the Navle Pool area and reviewed the place kept for inspection. The vehicles will be stopped and checked near the ‘way bridge’ at the Khed Shivapur toll booth.
