After the implementation of GRAP-4 in Delhi, what changes has the government made for your child to go to school? know

DELHI-NCR: In view of the continuously deteriorating air quality in Delhi-NCR, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has imposed GRAP-4 restrictions on Saturday evening. This decision was taken when Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) crossed 450. Which has been kept in Severe Plus category. CAQM has said in the order that the restrictions of GRAP-4 are implemented with immediate effect to prevent further decline in AQI. Along with Grape-4, the restrictions already imposed under Stage-1, 2 and 3 will also continue. AQI has crossed 450 due to which people have to face many problems related to pollution. Due to which CAQM has implemented GRAP-4 sanctions. The impact of this decision is being seen on the education system of Delhi. Students of class 10th and 12th have been kept out of this system. Keeping the board exams in mind, studies of these two classes will continue in schools regularly as before.

After the implementation of Delhi Grap-4, instructions have been given to all government, aided and private schools under the Directorate of Education (DOE), NDMC, MCD and Delhi Cantonment Board to conduct education in ‘hybrid mode’ for students up to class 9 and class 11. That is, wherever possible, classes will be conducted through both offline (in school) and online mediums. However, for the remaining classes the option of hybrid mode has been left to the students and their parents. If parents wish, they can choose to study through online medium as per the facilities available.

Instructions have also been given to all the schools of Delhi to inform about this decision to the parents and guardians of the students as soon as possible. This is so that the parents and guardians of the children do not have to worry. Schools have been asked to ensure that online classes are completely organized so that students’ studies are not harmed in any way. Amidst the increasing pollution in Delhi, this decision has been taken keeping in mind the health of children.
