The streamer announced Good Wife season 2 through a recent event, called JioHotstar South Unbound, where it unveiled its upcoming film and series slate. At the event, Kamal Haasan stated that the bridge between regional and national cinema is narrowing and that the former is becoming the new national. Priyamani also echoed the sentiment as she talked about her upcoming show. She said, “I’ve been fortunate to work across South Indian cinema and experience the richness of our stories.
