IPS Anshika Verma: UPSC conducts Civil Services Examination every year, which is counted among the toughest examinations in the country. This examination is conducted in three stages: Prelims, Mains and Interview. We are talking about Anshika Verma, the famous and very beautiful IPS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre. Anshika Verma is known not only for her beauty but also for her strict decisions and strong policing. In Uttar Pradesh, criminals are afraid of their way of working. This is the reason why people also lovingly call her ‘Lady Singham’.

A book has also been written on the work done by IPS Anshika Verma, which was released by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. Along with this, she has also been honored with the ‘Women Icon Award’.
Success achieved with family support
Anshika Verma is originally from Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh. His father is a retired employee of Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL), while his mother is a housewife. Anshika says that her family supported her at every step, due to which she had the courage to take a difficult exam like UPSC and also achieved success in it.
Journey from engineering to IPS
Anshika completed her schooling from Noida. After this he obtained B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Galgotias University, Noida. After completing her graduation in 2018, she decided to appear for the Civil Services Examination and went to Prayagraj for preparation.
The special thing is that Anshika did not take the help of any coaching for UPSC preparation. He completely relied on self-study and started preparation on the basis of regular studies.
Success achieved in second attempt
In the year 2019, Anshika Verma gave her first attempt for UPSC, but she did not get success. However, instead of giving up, he analyzed his shortcomings and started preparing again with full dedication. His hard work paid off and he cracked the UPSC exam in his second attempt. She secured All India 136th rank and became an IPS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre.

Engineer turned IPS Anshika Verma is also very active on social media. About 6.12 lakh people follow him on Instagram. She often gives motivational messages to the youth and shares her experiences.
