Three Naxalites from Chhattisgarh carrying a bounty of Rs 20 lakh each surrendered in Maharashtra.

Jagdalpur. Three Naxalites carrying a reward of Rs 20 lakh, including the Darreksa Area Committee Commander of the MMC (Maharashtra-Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh) zone, have surrendered in Maharashtra on Sunday.

Among the Naxalites who surrendered before the Gondia Police of Maharashtra, the commander of Darreksa Area Committee of MMC (Maharashtra-Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh) zone and a reward of eight lakhs, Roshan alias Mara Iriya Vedja (35), resident of village Mendri, District Bijapur (Chhattisgarh), along with two ACM cadre Naxalites Subhash alias Pojja Bandu Raowa. (26) resident of Verapalli, Usur tehsil, district Bijapur (Chhattisgarh) and Ratan alias Manku Oma Poyyam (25) resident of Rekhapal, district Narayanpur (Chhattisgarh). There was a reward of Rs 6 lakh each on both of them. These three Naxalites from Chhattisgarh today surrendered with weapons before the Gondia Superintendent of Police of Maharashtra. A total reward of Rs 20 lakh was announced on them.

Confirming this, Maharashtra’s Gondia Superintendent of Police Nikhil Pingle said that the surrendered Naxalites deposited weapons, which included an SLR gun, two magazines and 25 rounds from Roshan alias Mara Iriya Vedja. One SLR, two magazines and 23 rounds from the possession of Subhash alias Pojja Bandu Ravya. One 8 mm weapon, 1 magazine and 15 rounds were recovered from Ratan alias Manku Oma Poyam Poyam.
