The country will always remember the iron man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as the architect of present India: CM Yogi
Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid tribute to the architect of modern India, Bharat Ratna Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his death anniversary. CM also paid floral tributes to his statue. CM Yogi threw light on the personality and work of Sardar Patel. He said that the successful leadership of Sardar Patel would have continued for a longer period, but it was the misfortune of the country that his mortal body died on 15 December 1950. His memories, services and contribution towards the country became a memorable chapter. The country will always remember the Iron Man as the architect of present India.

CM Yogi said that iron man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was born on 31 October 1875 in an ordinary farmer family in Karamsad, Gujarat. He earned higher education through his hard work. His aim behind this was not to earn a living and work for a foreign government, but to understand the country and the world and dedicate the benefit of his talent and energy at the feet of Mother India. Sardar Patel led the freedom movement. He endured many tortures in jail, but was not deterred from the freedom movement. When the country was getting independence, he strongly opposed the partition of India. He made 567 princely states a part of the Republic of India. The country will always remember the Iron Man as the architect of present India.

As a result of Sardar Patel’s wisdom, the princely states of Junagadh and Hyderabad became part of India.
CM Yogi said that the Nawab of Junagadh and the Nizam of Hyderabad did not want to join the Republic of India. When the country was gaining independence, the British implemented the Two Nation Theory and gave freedom to the princely states to join the Republic of India, join Pakistan or maintain an independent existence. All the Hindu princes agreed to become a part of India, but the Nawab of Junagadh and the Nizam of Hyderabad refused. As a result of Sardar Patel’s wisdom, both the princely states became part of India through his bloodless revolution. The Nawab of Junagadh and the Nizam of Hyderabad had to flee the country.
Pt. Nehru worked to dispute Kashmir, due to which it kept hurting India.
CM Yogi said that there was confusion regarding where the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir should be included, then Jawaharlal Nehru said that he will take the initiative. Jammu and Kashmir was in the hands of Pt. Nehru, but he made Jammu and Kashmir so controversial that it continued to bite India after independence. Because of Pandit Nehru, the country got militancy and separatism from the same Kashmir. The country is grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who, realizing the dream of the Iron Man and Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, took forward the resolution of one head, one constitution and one symbol in one country to make Kashmir an integral part of India by abolishing Article 370.
Sardar Patel did many notable works as Home Minister.

CM Yogi said that as the Home Minister, the work of reviving the Somnath Temple in India, developing a mechanism to resolve all the disputes and giving the current shape to the Indian Administrative Service was also possible because of the Iron Man. Sardar Patel’s successful leadership would have continued for a longer period, but unfortunately for the country, his mortal body died on 15 December 1950. His memories, his services and contribution towards the country became a memorable chapter for all of us. Every Indian is ready to express his gratitude to the great son of Mother India, the Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, with great reverence and respect.
