Reports from The Hollywood Reporter and several media outlets confirm Disney’s unique strategy: four different teaser trailers will be shown for four consecutive weeks, with each trailer running for a week before the next trailer is shown. The idea of this approach is to encourage people to watch Avatar: Fire and Ash again and again, as well as increase curiosity for the MCU blockbuster.
Trailers have been shipped under lock and key to prevent leaks, although international screenings may reveal fan-recorded footage. While the official online release is yet to be decided, it might be postponed to prioritize theatrical exclusivity.
