You will be shocked after seeing the new Aadhaar card, name of father and husband is missing, date of birth is also only one year!
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has made a major upheaval in the entire process of making Aadhaar card. According to the report of our correspondent from Ramnagar, these changes have been made specifically to strengthen the privacy and data security of the people. Now the new Aadhar cards being made look more secure and different than before.
Now father’s or husband’s name will not be visible!
The most surprising thing about the big change is that the name of father or husband is being completely removed from the new Aadhar card of people aged 18 years and above. This means that now only your name and address will be printed on the card. However, for children under 18 years of age, father’s name will still remain the same in Aadhaar – there is no change in this.
There was a twist in the date of birth too!
Earlier, where the complete date of birth (day-month-year) was written in the Aadhaar card, now only the year of birth is being shown in the new card. Date and month missing! Also, the option to fill “father’s name” or “husband’s name” has been removed from the Aadhaar generation portal.
UIDAI has made it clear that there is no need to panic – all your old records and complete details are completely safe in their database. The information shown only on the card has been made minimal and privacy friendly. This new system has already been implemented in the entire country.
So the next time you get a new Aadhaar made or updated, don’t be surprised – your new card is going to look completely different!
