Haryana: 950 women policemen will be recruited in Haryana, CM Saini announced
Haryana News: Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has announced to increase the number of women police personnel in the police department from the current 15 percent to 25 percent. In this direction, the government has indicated to speed up the recruitment process. At present, the process of recruitment of 5750 policemen is going on in the police department, which includes the recruitment of 950 women policemen. Apart from this, the government has also approved the recruitment of 550 additional women constables.
Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that it is very important for the police to remain updated with modern technology with time. He has also given necessary directions to the concerned authorities to install CCTV cameras in crime-sensitive areas of the state, so that crime can be effectively controlled.
CM Saini chaired the state level security conference on the topic ‘Developed India – Security Dimensions’ held in Panchkula on Monday. During this, he shared figures of recent achievements of Haryana Police.
The Chief Minister said that in the last few years, Haryana Police has achieved great success against interstate gangs, drug smugglers and cyber crime.
Under Operation Hotspot Domination, more than 2 thousand criminals were arrested in 12 days. 7,587 criminals were arrested in Operation Trek Town. During this period, illegal assets worth Rs 168 crore were also seized.
Director General of Police (DGP) OP Singh, while emphasizing the important role of technology in the conference, said that modern technology is proving to be very useful in dealing with the challenges related to crime. Many big cases have been solved with the help of CCTV cameras and other technical resources. He said that the role of police department will be important in achieving the goal of developed India by the year 2047.
