Mathura, 16 December. Due to fog in Mathura, UP, seven buses and two cars collided with each other on Yamuna Express. After the collision, 5 buses and two cars caught fire. Four people were burnt to death in the accident, while many people were injured. Mathura District Officer CP Singh has confirmed the death of four people. He said that 25 people were injured in the accident, who are undergoing treatment in the hospital. The condition of all the injured is out of danger. The buses were completely burnt due to the fire.
DM said that CM Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the incident. He has ordered us and the SSP to provide all possible help to the injured. At the same time, an eyewitness said that about 150 people have been sent to the hospital in 20 ambulances. This accident happened at Mall Stone 127 in Baldev police station area on Tuesday morning at 4:00 am. Officials including DM and SP have reached the spot. Rescue operation is going on. Police, fire brigade and SDRF personnel are busy extinguishing the fire and taking the injured to the hospital.
There were loud explosions after the collision
An eyewitness said that when several vehicles collided with each other, it seemed as if a bullet had been fired. There were loud explosions. The entire village reached here in a hurry. Everyone helped immediately. Ambulance employee Amit Kumar said that the number of casualties cannot be counted yet.
Many people may die in the accident
Local people have expressed fear that many passengers may burn to death due to fire in the buses. Looking at the videos that have surfaced of the accident, it seems that there has been huge loss to life and property. Many people may lose their lives in this accident. However, four people have been officially confirmed dead. An eyewitness said that several buses caught fire after colliding with each other. I was sleeping in the bus when the accident happened. The bus was completely filled with passengers. The accident happened at around 4 in the morning. At present, relief and rescue work is going on from the administration.
