Cameron Green Sold To KKR For 25.20 Crore : As was already being speculated, a similar scene was seen in the IPL 2026 auction. Australia’s star all-rounder Cameron Green was bid heavily by franchises and finally Kolkata Knight Riders included him in their team for a huge sum of Rs 25.20 crore. Green proved to be one of the most expensive players of this auction.

Long bidding war on Green in auction

When Cameron Green’s name was called in the auction, initially there was a fierce tussle between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals. After some time, Chennai Super Kings also jumped into this race. The bidding war continued between KKR and CSK for a long time, but in the end Shahrukh Khan’s team Kolkata Knight Riders won and included Green in their camp.

Cameron Green has played 21 T20 International matches since 2022. During this period, he has scored 521 runs at an average of 32.56 and strike rate of 160.30. Green has 42 fours and 31 sixes in his name in T20I, and has also scored 6 half-centuries. He has also proved useful in bowling and has taken 12 wickets at an average of 23.25 and economy rate of 8.90. His best bowling performance has been 3 wickets for 35 runs.
