Big update on the dates of IPL 2026 has come out, the league can start from this day in March.

However, it is not yet clear at which venue the first match of the tournament will be played. Usually, the opening match of IPL is held at the home ground of the defending champion, but the situation regarding Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is not clear. In such a situation, BCCI can consider holding the first match on some other ground also.

Meanwhile, according to the report, BCCI has also added some new names to the player list before the IPL 2026 mini auction. The name of Abhimanyu Easwaran, who is performing brilliantly in domestic cricket, is also included in this. Easwaran will now be the 360th player included in the auction list.

According to the report, players from India as well as Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and Zimbabwe are among the players who got late entry. After the addition of these new 19 names, there will be a total of 369 players in the auction pool, out of which franchises will be able to buy a maximum of 77 players.

Now all eyes are on the IPL 2026 mini auction to be held in Abu Dhabi on December 16, where the strategies of the teams and big bets can be seen.
