Atif Aslam’s Dhaka concert cancelled amid poor management

Karachi: Internationally acclaimed Pakistani singer Atif Aslam’s concert in Dhaka was suddenly cancelled, sending waves of anger and disappointment among his fans.

Atif Aslam announced the cancellation on his official Facebook page, stating, “We are saddened to announce that we will not be performing at the concert in Dhaka, which was scheduled for December 13, 2025.”

The singer further explained that the concert was cancelled because the promoters and management failed to arrange the necessary local permits, security clearances, and logistics.

The sudden cancellation left fans frustrated, with many questioning on social media why tickets were sold before the necessary permissions were obtained. Fans are also demanding clarity on how the organizers will refund the tickets, but no public policy regarding refunds has been announced so far.

According to Bangladesh media reports, following the abrupt cancellation and the alleged failure to refund ticket money, a fraud case has been filed against the organizers in a Dhaka court.

The report stated that yesterday, Barrister Ahsan Habib Bhuiyan submitted a complaint to Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Zakir Hussain regarding the matter. The court has directed the Detective Branch to investigate the case and submit a report within 15 days.
