Chhattisgarh News: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai paid tribute to the great litterateur of Bastar Lala Jagdalpuri on his birth anniversary (December 17). Chief Minister Sai said that Lala Jagdalpuri ji made the rich culture, history and folk life of Bastar recognized across the country by using literature as a medium. His creations in Hindi as well as in Halbi, Bhatri and Chhattisgarhi languages are powerful literary documents of the soul and sensibilities of Bastar.

He said that works like “Bastar: History and Culture” and “Bastar Ki Folk Tales” are invaluable for understanding the cultural heritage of Bastar and even today remain a source of inspiration for the new generation. The Chief Minister said that the literary legacy of Lala Jagdalpuri ji, who was honored with Pt. Sunderlal Sharma Zonal Sahitya Alankaran, is an invaluable heritage of Chhattisgarh. His life and work will always inspire the society to connect with culture and preserve it.
