IPL 2026 Auction: How many luck will shine today…. Know how much is the purse?

New Delhi. Fans are eagerly waiting for the auction of players for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). IPL 2026 Auction will be held in Abu Dhabi, UAE on Tuesday. 369 players are participating in the auction, which includes around 240 Indian and more than 110 foreign players. The luck of a maximum of 77 players will shine because only so many slots are vacant in 10 teams. Only a maximum of 31 foreign players will be sold. More than 280 players will remain unsold. Each IPL team can have a maximum of 25 players, in which the number of foreigners cannot exceed 8. All the teams together have an amount of Rs 237 crore 55 lakh.

KKR has the most money
The highest base price in the auction is Rs 2 crore. There are 40 players in this bracket. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has the biggest purse for the auction of the 19th season. The three-time champion has Rs 64.30 crore, the biggest purse ever in a mini auction. KKR has to fill 13 slots. Chennai Super Kings (CSK), which has won the title five times, also has a big budget (Rs 43.40 crore). At the same time, Mumbai Indians (MI) have the least amount in their purse. MI, which has won five trophies, will enter the auction with Rs 2.75 crore. He has to fill five slots. MI’s focus will be on uncapped players (who have not played international cricket).

Cameron Green may get a big deal
Australian all-rounder Cameron Green may get a big deal in the auction. Green has impressed in the IPL. Apart from scoring 704 runs in 29 matches, he has also taken 16 wickets. Apart from Green, there could be strong bids for Venkatesh Iyer, who is out of the Indian team, and West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder. There have always been big bids for fast bowling all-rounders. Mini auctions are always more interesting than big auctions as franchises come with specific preferences and are willing to go to any extent to rope in players with different skill sets.
