Afghanistan gave another blow to Pakistan, canceled the medicine deal, made a big agreement with India

Afghanistan Health Minister India Visit: Amidst rising tensions and deteriorating relations with Pakistan, Afghanistan is now looking towards India for cooperation. In recent developments, Afghanistan has closed all its trade routes with Pakistan and has decided to consider India as a reliable and stable partner. An indication of this changed attitude is that many senior ministers of the Taliban government are continuously visiting India, so that cooperation can be taken forward in various fields.

Recently, Afghanistan’s Health Minister Maulvi Noor Jalal Jalali has reached India. Before him, Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaki and Industry and Commerce Minister Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi have also visited India. This visit of the Health Minister has taken place at a time when Afghanistan’s health system is in a very poor condition and the country is facing a serious humanitarian crisis.

Afghanistan will buy medicines from India

Health Minister Jalali may seek cooperation from India in the field of supply of medicines, treatment related assistance and health services. His program includes important meetings with Indian officials in Delhi with the aim of providing better treatment, quality medicines and medical facilities to Afghan citizens. However, complete information related to this tour has not yet been made officially public.

A few months ago, Afghanistan had made serious allegations against Pakistan. The Afghan government claimed that poor quality and expired medicines were being sent from Pakistan, which were causing harm to the patients’ health instead of improving it. Due to these allegations, Afghanistan decided to break trade relations with Pakistan. This is being considered a big blow for Pakistan, because it is already facing a deep economic crisis.

India-Afghanistan relations strong

Relations between India and Afghanistan have been historically strong. India has long helped Afghanistan in areas such as education, road construction, trade, health and humanitarian assistance. Many large infrastructure and development projects in Afghanistan have been completed with India’s cooperation. Health Minister Jalali’s visit to India indicates that both the countries want to further strengthen their relations in areas beyond politics such as health, trade and humanitarian aid.
