Acclaimed Hulu Show The Artful Dodger Gets Exciting Season 2 Trailer

Hulu has shared the official trailer for The Artful Dodger Season 2, the upcoming next installment to the Australian period dramedy led by Emmy nominee Thomas Brodie-Sangster (The Queen’s Gambit). The series is set to return on February 10, 2026, on Hulu and Disney+.

“Jack’s back! The Artful Dodger returns, and he’s in deep trouble. He’s got an appointment with the noose, he’s being hunted by Inspector Boxer, Port Victory’s new lawman, and if he sees the woman he loves, Lady Belle, he’ll be hanged. Meanwhile, Lady Belle is determined to forge her future in medicine, defying expectation and stepping into danger, driven by ambition and a love already hanging in the balance,” reads the new season’s synopsis. “With Boxer competing with Jack for Belle’s affection, the crafty Fagin drags Dodger into their most dangerous heist yet, and a killer is on the loose. Get ready for an explosive season of new characters and locations with more thrills, humor, heart, invention, and deception than ever.”

What happens in The Artful Dodger Season 2 trailer?

The video begins with Brodie-Sangster’s Jack Dawkins, who was able to escape his scheduled execution. Now, he is relentlessly being hunted down by the town’s newly appointed lawman, Inspector Boxer. The latter has also set his eyes on Jack’s lover, Lady Belle Fox. The trailer highlights Jack and Belle’s star-crossed romance, while offering viewers a glimpse of some of Jack’s new heist tricks.

Described as a “tale of reinvention, betrayal, redemption, and love with a twist,” The Artful Dodger was based on a character in Charles Dickens‘ classic novel Oliver Twist. The show is co-created and executive-produced by James McNamara. Joining Brodie-Sangster are David Thewlis, Maia Mitchell, Susie Porter, Damien Garvey, Tim Minchin, Lucy-Rose Leonard, Nicholas Burton, Kim Gyngell, Luke Carroll, Vivienne Awosoga, Aljin Abella, Brigid Zeneni, and Albert Latailakepa. Season 2 will also introduce new characters, portrayed by Luke Bracey, Jeremy Sims, and Zac Burgess.

It is produced by Cameron Welsh, with Curio Pictures’ Jo Porter and Rachel Gardner also serving as executive producers. Ben Young, Ben C. Lucas, and Gracie Otto are part of the Season 2 directing lineup, while Dan Knight, Kate Mulvany, and Miranda Tapsell are the writers for the new seasons. Since its debut, the show has received a Certified Fresh rating of 92% on Rotten Tomatoesbased on 25 reviews.
