Bhopal, December 17: Now the triple attack of cold has started in Madhya Pradesh. The condition of people has become miserable due to cold wave, dense fog and severe cold. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning that the cold is going to increase further in the next 24 hours. In many districts of the state the minimum temperature has reached below 5 degrees Celsius. The capital Bhopal was the coldest, where the minimum temperature was recorded at 4.8 degrees Celsius. Today on Wednesday, there is a cold wave alert in Bhopal, Raisen, Rajgarh, Shajapur-Sehore. At the same time, dense fog will prevail in 22 districts. Trains and flights are also getting delayed due to fog.
On Wednesday, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert of dense fog in Bhopal, Gwalior, Morena, Bhind, Datia, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Panna, Satna, Rewa, Mauganj, Maihar, Sidhi, Singrauli, Shahdol, Umaria, Katni, Jabalpur, Damoh, Sagar and Vidisha. At the same time, there will be fog in Indore, Ujjain, Shajapur, Dewas, Narmadapuram, Narsinghpur, Mandla, Shivpuri, Sheopur, Neemuch, Mandsaur. Advice has also been given to drive vehicles with caution during foggy conditions. Earlier on Tuesday morning, 500 to 1 thousand meters visibility was recorded in Chhatarpur’s Naugaon, 1 to 2 kilometers in Bhopal, Gwalior, Narmadapuram, Khajuraho-Mandla, 2 to 4 kilometers in Indore, Rajgarh, Sagar, Ujjain, Jabalpur-Guna.
Minimum temperature dropped in many cities
On Tuesday night, minimum temperature records fell in many cities of the state. It was the coldest night of the season in Bhopal. The temperature here was recorded at 4.8 degrees Celsius. This was the third coldest night in 10 years since 2016. Last year, on December 16, the mercury was recorded at 3.3 degrees. Bhopal is becoming the 8th coldest city in the country and the second coldest city in Madhya Pradesh. The lowest temperature recorded in Shajapur in the state was 4.4 degrees. At the same time, the temperature was recorded at 5.4 degrees in Indore, 9 degrees in Gwalior-Jabalpur and 9.5 degrees Celsius in Ujjain. Visibility in Rewa, Satna and Sidhi ranged from 200 to 500 meters. Shajapur was the coldest. The temperature here reached 4.4 degrees.

Rail traffic affected due to dense fog
Dense fog and bad weather in Delhi and North India affected rail traffic for the second consecutive day on Tuesday. Many trains coming to Bhopal from Delhi arrived late by hours. The biggest impact was on long distance trains, some of which were delayed by 6 to 7 hours. Due to this the passengers had to wait for a long time at the station. Visibility has reduced due to fog.
