Doha. Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and France forward Ousmane Dembele has been named the FIFA Men’s Player of the Year, while Spain and Barcelona midfielder Aitana Bonamati won the FIFA Women’s Player of the Year award for the third consecutive year.
28-year-old Dembele was among the players who played a key role in PSG’s historic first Champions League victory. In the final match, PSG defeated Inter Milan 5-0. Dembele scored a total of 35 goals in all competitions last season, 21 of which were in Ligue 1, and he became the tournament’s top scorer.
At the same time, Aitana Bonmati also won the title of Champions League Player of the Season. Apart from this, she also won the Women’s Ballon d’Or award for the third consecutive time. Under Bonamati, Barcelona won the treble domestically, while with Spain they reached the Champions League final and the Euro 2025 final.
